Why choose Zoosk over other online dating sites?

by Jimi Alfaro

If you’re wondering what the difference is between online dating companies, here are some reasons why you might choose Zoosk. While I’m happily married, I’m happy to recommend Zoosk to singles out there who are looking to find love. For my personality type, I’ve came to some conclusions on why Zoosk is right for guys like me.  Maybe the same will be true for you too.

First, what is your goal? What do you want to accomplish? Ask yourself: “Do I know what I want or am I still trying to figure that out?” If at the moment you know you want to meet some great people, to go on dates, to enjoy life, but maybe you’re not ready to get married and have kids and all that stuff, then I recommend Zoosk.

Most dating sites make you answer a pretty lengthy questioner before you’re even allowed to post a profile. And then the service starts sending you matches, rather than give you the tools to embark on your own dating quest. But Zoosk makes logging on really easy. Zoosk has you create a profile very similar to your Facebook page. You are actually able to just connect the two together. It’s a fantastic service for singles because you can immediately seeing profiles.

Many old school dating sites seem to be more of a match making service.  The song from Fiddler on the Roof comes straight to mind.  “Match maker match maker make me a match.  Find me a find. Catch me a catch.”  Ask yourself: “Do I even want a match maker telling me who to date?” Personally I think I rather see the person before I agree to meeting them.  I’d rather read up about them before I commit to anything.  If that’s also your mindset, in the end I think you’ll like using Zoosk.

Personally, self discovery works better for me. I want to see and read more about a person before I wink and say hi to them.  Maybe you’re like me, and which case, good luck Zoosking.
