Our mission is to empower everyone to lead a more fulfilling love life, and we see results every day as new couples thank us for changing their lives.
All of us at Zoosk start out with equity in the company—we’re in it to win it, together. We recognize each other with Rave Awards, over ten a week. Best of all, a huge number of employees get promoted each year—even our CEO is homegrown talent.
Most of us here are more than colleagues—we’re friends. That’s worth a whole lot, and it makes coming into work every day way more fun. We get lots of chances for socializing, with meals several times a week, weekly happy hours, and special events.
Nothing for a “ruff” day like taking a break and playing fetch with one of the many Zoosk doggies on staff. We welcome well-behaved dogs of any stripe, and recognize a pup per month with a special award.
With a solid selection of health insurance options, FSA, 401k, equity, and even a gym membership, you’ll be in good hands at Zoosk. Our pay is also competitive with other companies in San Francisco.
Zoosk has a generous maternity and paternity leave policy, and is supportive of the needs of working moms and dads. We have a whole lot of parents here who support each other, and have a healthy work-life balance.
If you and your manager agree on your time off, you’re free to go. No saving up vacation days to try to get to Hawaii for a long weekend—you can go to the Mediterranean like you’ve always wanted.
Our co-founders were an engineer and a rocket scientist who believed in trying, failing, and trying again. We’ve instituted biweekly creative days called “Z Time” that generate innovative projects for internal and customer-facing use. We also have Hack Days twice a year, with about 20 projects from each that we build and incorporate into our products. We also have a program called “Sparks” that turns employee ideas into reality.
Whether it’s recognizing our peers with Rave Awards, racing together in a city-wide scavenger hunt, or volunteering at a soup kitchen, we’re all in it together.
What I love about leading an API/services team is creating and enriching our products without sacrificing performance, scalability, and simplicity. Zoosk's open culture makes it so easy to approach people and discuss ideas and solutions. And some of my favorite things to do for a quick break are playing ping pong and playing with the dogs.
One of the best things about Zoosk is that you have the opportunity to work on a product that touches people all over the world. It's rewarding to see projects that you work on go into the product and start making a difference right away.
It’s great to work at a company where everybody is really great to work with. There is a culture of really intelligent people who work hard. There is a ton of opportunity to do interesting and new projects and challenge yourself on a daily basis.
Our behind-the-scenes and user-facing technologies are cutting edge. We offer features that others rush to imitate, like our Photo Verification feature that helps Zoosk members make sure their date looks like their photos.
Sign up for Zoosk, play with the site and features, and catch up on our latest news. We like it when you’re as interested in us as we are in you.
Take a shower, brush your teeth and hair, and make sure to dress for success. We’re a casual workplace but it doesn’t hurt to look extra nice when you come in for the first time.
Clear your mind and be ready to answer questions about yourself and what you’ve done—and don’t forget to have some questions for us too!
Zoosk is a friendly office and we’re looking for people who will work well with our team. Make an effort to get to know people and let us see who you are!
I'm a tech nerd who is passionate about people and technology and the connection between the two. I'm so excited to be back at Zoosk helping to continue to grow this amazing team! On my down time, you'll probably find me at the beach with my dog and husband. I also love live music and am a total bookworm with a serious case of wanderlust.
