Congratulations to Susan and Scott from Kansas!
After overcoming a near death experience Scott is living life large, and is taking Susan along with him! From ax throwing to concerts, their exciting dates have confirmed their feelings for each other, and they are looking forward to the future together.
She writes:
“I had a few interested persons messaging me and one of them was Scott. I actually wasn’t wanting to put a lot of effort into this as I was cautious at that point and felt a little tired of this whole scene. Scott asked me to meet him for ice cream! What? That seemed pretty simple and sweet so I thought, oh what the heck!
We set up a date and I met him in a very cool old building with a new ice cream shop in Delano. This tall nice looking guy greets me with a kiss! We begin to talk and he tells me about a tragedy that he experienced years ago but victoriously got on the other side. I was so touched by his strength of human spirit and will to live which showed how grateful he was to be there with me…I found myself getting emotional…ON OUR FIRST DATE! Sheesh! I am a compassionate lady anyway…I lost my husband 22 months ago so the dating thing was not exactly something that I was 100% sure I should be doing. On top of that, this man prevailed over near-death and paralysis to walk again and live life large!! In addition to that, after the horrid experience I had a couple of weeks before I met Scott …I wasn’t prepared for this I guess.
Our date went well. We went next door and threw axes! Yup ice cream and ax throwing. That’s how date one went. We had another date to the movies and finally a long weekend going to Dallas for an amazing Clapton concert festival. It was after that festival that we knew…there was chemistry, sparks and a deep connection. We were really a match! This was happening! I couldn’t believe my luck finding such a sweet, sexy, funny, bigger – than – life guy who was completely crazy over me too!
It’s been about 5 weeks now. We have professed our love for one another. We are making plans to move in together and purchase a house. At our age, 55+ we have already both lived full lifetimes but still have a lot of loving and living to do. We want to grow old together and see what our love and this old life can offer us. I never thought Zoosk would be responsible for this but it is! I couldn’t be happier! Thank you.”
