Zoosk Launches New ‘Dating Insights’ Feature, Bringing Its Behavioral Matchmaking Algorithm to Life

Zoosk Members Will Now Receive a General Profile of Who’s Shown Interest in Them and a Detailed Overview of How Their Actions Help Inform Who They’re Introduced To

Zoosk, a leading technology-driven online dating company that provides personalized matches, today announced the launch of Dating Insights, a new patent-pending feature that allows members to see a holistic, data-based view of their dating activity and preferences as determined by Zoosk’s Behavioral Matchmaking™ algorithm. By surfacing some of the data points the algorithm uses to connect people, Zoosk will give members an innovative resource that is designed to ultimately help them become a more successful online dater.

In addition to insights about their own dating preferences, Zoosk members will also be given similar aggregate information about the members who have shown interest in them and tips on how to improve their online dating experience.

Zoosk’s Dating Insights is broken up into three sections:

Who Likes You
The first section provides members with an in-depth look at some of the characteristics people who have shown interest in them have in common. Information includes demographics such as age, body type, education, ethnicity, religion, and smoking habits.

Who You Like
Next, members are shown their own dating preferences, based on who they’ve shown interest in so far. Preferences include the same information as the Who Likes You, such as “You put more importance on a man’s level of education than most,” or “The Lord of the Rings is the book liked most by the men you’re interested in.”

Your Dating Style
The final section sheds light on a member’s activity levels and gives tips on how to use the information they’ve gathered through Dating Insights to become a more successful online dater.

“Our Behavioral Matchmaking™ technology is the backbone of our service,” said Shayan Zadeh, co-founder and CEO of Zoosk. “We are excited to give our members an in-depth look at our algorithm, and how it personalizes the experience for each one of them. Insights should not only allow our members to understand how their activity affects who they’re introduced to, but should also give them the tools to better their chances at finding someone special.”

At launch, the Dating Insights feature is currently available only to Zoosk members using the website.
